What a fantastic turnout! A huge thank you to Steve, Brie and the Nippers Registration team for their organisation, and to the many members from both our junior and senior clubs who came along to lend a hand and celebrate what makes Pambuls SLSC so special. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces and welcome new families to our amazing club. Bring on another great season at Pambula SLSC.

Our latest SRC & Bronze Medallion courses are underway, with 14 participants hitting the sand and the water for a big day of learning, training and developing essential surf lifesaving skills. The school holiday intensive course was a first for our club. With plenty of water safety and some fantastic new trainers sharing their knowledge, its great to see our next generation of lifesavers getting stuck in.

All Bronze Medallion, SRC, IRB and ART holders are required to complete their annual Skills Maintenance (Proficiency) by December 31 2026 to remain proficient. Did you know that Pambula Surf Life Saving club hosts three raffles every week at our wonderful sponsor venues - Club Sapphire, Lakeview Hotel, and Merimbula RSL? These raffles are important fundraisers for our club, with every ticket sold helping us improve our lifesaving services, maintain equipment, support training, and keep our volunteers rescue-ready. A huge thank you to our incredible sponsor venues for their ongoing generosity and support, and to everyone who buys a ticket each week. We simply could not do what we do without you.

A huge thank you to Southern Trucks for repairing and servicing our ATV. As you can imagine, vehicles that spend time in the sand, salt water and the harsh coastal environment need plenty of TLC to keep them running when we need them most. We're incredibly grateful to have a generous Pambula SLSC member who continues to give back to our club through their business. Support like this helps us maintain our equipment and ensures our lifesavers are ready to respond when they're needed. Thank you Southern Trucks, for keeping us rescue ready and supporting Pambula SLSC.

Congratulations to all participants on completing their Surf Rescue Certificate and taking another step towards keeping our beaches safe. A huge thank you to all trainers, assessors and water safety who gave their time, knowledge and support to make the course a success. Your commitment to developing the next generation of lifesavers is greatly appreciated. A special mention to Sierra Bootes, granddaughter of facilitators Michelle and Peter, who has now become a third generation lifesaver at Pambula SLSC. A wonderful family legacy to continue and a very special milestone for the Bootes family.

2026/27 membership renewals are now open. It's time to renew your surf Life Saving membership for the new season. Renewing now is particularly important for: • Committee Members • Rescue Services Members, including CTO • Members training on surfboards or surf skis • Anyone wishing to nominate for a position or vote at the upcoming AGM Please don't leave your renewal until the last minute. New members are always welcome.

As many members of our community are aware, Pambula SLSC has been engaging in an extended process to upgrade our liquor licence to allow us to host private and communtiy functions. We are pleased to announce that our application has been successful and we are excited for you to enjoy our space for your next party, business meeting, function or event.
